Application FAQ

 

How do I make an appointment to see a house?

Call our office 505.896.1750. Or send an email to info@kelloggagency.com. Showings are scheduled from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Do you show houses to more than one person or group at a time?

We may schedule several people for the same appointment time. This is done on occupied homes to minimize the inconvenience of the tenants. We may also do this for vacant homes that are popular. Each group will be allowed to view the home separately. A Kellogg Agency staff member accompanies every person throughout the home when it is occupied. Please wait outside until you are invited into the house.

How do I apply and pay the fee?

You apply online. We do not accept paper applications. Go to > Available Rentals > Click on the house you like > Click APPLY NOW. Paying the application fee is the last step of the application. You can use an e-check or a credit card to pay the application fee.

How do I send you my required documents?

There is a place to attach documents on the application. Or you can email them to info@kelloggagency.com.

How long does it take to approve my application?

It takes anywhere from 2 – 5 business days after we receive your application, application fee, and all required documents.

If my spouse, roommate, or adult child doesn't have a job, do they still need to fill out an application?

Yes – everyone 18 and older must submit an application.

How much money is required to move in?

SECURITY DEPOSIT: You pay the security deposit within 24 hours of being accepted. Depending on how soon your lease starts, you may pay this online or with a cashier’s check or money order.

FIRST MONTH’S RENT: You pay a whole month’s rent on the day you pick up the keys – cashier’s check or money order only.

LAST MONTH’S RENT: If required, you pay last month’s rent the day you pick up keys – cashier’s check or money order only.

PRORATED RENT: You pay the prorated rent for your move in month on the first day of your second month – online payment.

 

 

What if I have a special request?

List any special requests on the application. It is the very last question on the application. After you are approved, we will discuss your special request with the owner.

Can I pickup keys the day before my lease starts?

No – you can pickup keys on the day your lease starts, but not before.

Can I put things in the garage before my lease starts?

No.

Pet FAQ

Do you accept pets?

Yes - with some restrictions.

How many and what kinds of pets do you allow?

You may have a maximum of 3 pets. Disclose all the animals that will be living with you.

  • Dogs and cats must be over 1 year old.
  • We do not allow these breeds of dog or any dog mixed with these breeds: Akita, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, Husky, German Shepard, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and Wolf.
  • A 10+ gallon fish tank is considered one pet.
  • Birds are considered pets - one pet per cage.
  • Caged animals and reptiles may also be considered pets.
  • Ferrets are not allowed.
What breeds of dogs are not allowed?

We do not allow certain breeds of dogs or dogs mixed with certain breeds. These breeds include, but are not limited to, Akita, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, Husky, German Shepard, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and Wolf.

What is the pet deposit?

We do not charge a separate pet deposit. If your pet is approved, then rent for that house will be increased by a minimum of $50 per month.

What happens if my pet dies or runs away?

Pet rent is paid over the term of your lease. Pet rent can only be removed when you renew your lease.

Can I add a pet after I move in?

Yes. If your pet is approved after you move in, then there is a $150 lease change fee.
